The Mighty Marching Panthers finally took their place inside Panther Stadium. What followed was a shorter Saturday than anyone expected.

For a little while, everything went according to plan.
The MMP marched in, football got underway and the stands settled into the rhythm of another Saturday at Clark Atlanta’s Panther Stadium. On the field, the Panthers went to work. Along the sidelines, the cheerleaders kept the energy moving. And in the stands, the band was finally home.
Then the weather turned.
Somewhere between the first and second quarters play was suspended as the game went into a weather delay. What was supposed to be the band’s first full Saturday at home ended almost as quickly as it began.
So this isn’t quite the story I expected to photograph. But somewhere in that short window before everyone had to clear out, I caught some of my favorite frames of the season so far.
